What is Webex Teams?

Cisco's Webex Teams, utilized by businesses around the world, is a cloud-based, or hosted, collaboration platform that’s modeled around teamwork in the modern working environment. Built on the Webex platform, it can act as a phone system, a video conferencing system, a file share, and a whiteboard environment. Persistent, or ongoing, chat can be utilized by people within an organization as well as with partners and clients who work externally. Essentially, it’s a communication platform that will change how your organization collaborates, seamlessly and for the better.

So, why should an organization move to a platform like Webex Teams? Let’s outline some scenarios where it might make sense:

  • Is your current phone system aging and in need of replacement?
  • Is video conferencing a collaboration tool your organization would benefit from?
  • Does your organization have multiple offices or employees who work remotely?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, Webex Teams can truly benefit your company.  That being said, if teamwork and collaboration are not reasons enough, here are two additional reasons for your organization to give Webex Teams a try:

  • It’s incredibly easy.
  • The product can make a positive impact on your business.

So, wouldn't it be nice to try something before buying, no strings attached?

Enter Cisco's Webex Teams Try-and-Buy Option

The good news is that Cisco offers a try-and-buy option for Webex Teams. This allows a company to pilot the platform before buying. The program takes place over a period of 30 to 90 days, providing your organization plenty of time to fully understand its benefits.

During the free pilot process, a company will get access to the platform/software for the following:

  • Up to 100 end users
  • PSTN phone numbers
  • Webex meetings
  • Up to five endpoints

Once the pilot concludes, if you decide that the tool is not a good fit, organizations can return the equipment within the prepaid postage boxes in which they were shipped. It's as simple as that.

How to Get Started

It’s very easy to get started with the try-and-buy pilot. As a Cisco partner, Systems Engineering kicks off the pilot program via our partner portal, filling in the information relevant to your company. An email is sent to you for confirmation and then the requested equipment is on its way to you.

In the meantime and, on the back-end, we run a simple media test to ensure the phones and video units will register to the cloud seamlessly while setting up your end users with licensing tailored per your organization's request. Depending upon the size and scope of the try-and-buy pilot, we will assign your organization a team of engineers to help you with the adoption process. This ensures that your team is kept on track throughout the trial, taking advantage of all the features the platform offers.
