Systems Engineering (SE) announced today that, for the first time, it has been named to CRN®’s 2018 Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list. Each year, CRN®, the nation’s leading news source for the IT channel, recognizes the top 500 managed service providers in North America for their cutting-edge approaches to delivering managed services. The MSP 500 list will be featured in the February 2018 issue of CRN and online.

“Managed service providers have become integral to the success of businesses everywhere, both large and small,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “Capable MSPs enable companies to take their cloud computing to the next level, streamline spending, effectively allocate limited resources, and navigate the vast field of available technologies. The companies on CRN’s 2018 MSP 500 list stand out for their innovative services, excellence in adapting to customers’ changing needs and demonstrated ability to help businesses get the most out of their IT investments.”

The MSP 500 list is divided into three categories: the MSP Pioneer 250, recognizing companies with business models weighted toward managed services and largely focused on small-to-medium businesses; the MSP Elite 150, recognizing large, data center-focused MSPs with a strong mix of on-premises and off-premises services; and the Managed Security 100, recognizing MSPs focused primarily on off-premise, cloud-based security services. Systems Engineering was recognized as an MSP Pioneer 250.

In today’s fast-paced business environments, MSPs play an important role in helping companies leverage new technologies without straining their budgets or losing focus on their core business. CRN’s MSP 500 acknowledges the most forward-thinking and innovative companies like Systems Engineering. In the next year, Systems Engineering expects its managed service business to grow by 10% as demand by businesses for cloud, cybersecurity, and consulting services increases to meet today’s evolving technology needs.

“It is an honor to be recognized for our managed service achievements, “said Matt McGrath, President, Systems Engineering. “We work closely with our clients to understand their business objectives, and how IT plays a role in helping them get there. We help navigate the complex and ever-changing landscape of IT including the most scale-able and secure cloud solutions while also consistently driving operational efficiencies and maximizing their return on IT investments.”

CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, is the leading news source for solution providers and the IT channel, source of IT channel news, trends, analysis providing up-to-date technology news, IT vendor and product reviews, channel partner resources, and more.
