Dear Colleagues and Friends,

A lot happened for us in 2017.  But before I reflect on some of the more significant events, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to each of you. Your support and loyalty are important to all of us at Systems Engineering and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve you. We deeply value the relationships we have built with you and look forward to strengthening them in the coming year.

As you may know, we recently made organizational changes within our management team. These changes were driven by our goals to improve the customer experience and to deliver more value in every interaction we have with you. As we continue to make major investments in our people and processes, we can continue to deliver on our promise of enabling your business’ success by delivering world-class technology solutions and thought leadership

Over the past few years, major advancements in cloud technology have created new ways for us to deliver our services and solutions. As we support organizations with moving strategic business processes to the cloud, we have seen them experience a level of end-user productivity, collaboration, and reliability that has been truly transformational.

Recently, we announced Systems Engineering achieved Microsoft Gold Competency for Cloud Solutions, specifically for small and midmarket-sized businesses. I am proud of the team for working hard to achieve this certification. Gold Competency is the highest certification level a Microsoft Partner can receive in a specific technology area. With this achievement, we demonstrate our expertise in deploying innovative, cloud-based solutions using the Microsoft Azure platform and Microsoft Office 365, furthering our commitment to successful customer outcomes.

As our region continues to grow in popularity and as a destination for new and relocated businesses, we feel strongly that investment in education across all ages is our responsibility. We take our role in delivering technology to classrooms very seriously and continue to sponsor high potential students. In 2018, we will be expanding our student scholarship and mentorship programs with a specific focus on facilitating opportunities for women in technology.

In 2017, we added 37 new members to our team who brought with them new skills and capabilities that further help us serve our clients. This number is by far the most growth we have seen in our company’s history. This positive growth helped us earn a spot on the Best Places to Work list. I am honored to work for an organization that is recognized as one of Maine’s best employers for the fourth year in a row and grateful to the staff for truly making it one of the best places for which I have worked.

As you can see, 2017 was a significant year of growth and change for Systems Engineering and we are very much looking forward to new opportunities in 2018.  So on behalf of myself and the entire team here at Systems Engineering , we wish you much success, health and happiness in the coming year.
