New Director of Human Resources Brings High Level of Experience to Help Company Advance its Strategic Growth Goals

Systems Engineering (SE), a leading IT strategy and managed services provider, announced today that Lynne Gawtry is joining the company as Director of Human Resources and as a member of the company’s senior leadership team. As Director of HR, she will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic HR initiatives, including oversight of all employee benefits, attracting top talent and training, and developing existing employees.

“We are excited to welcome Lynne to the Systems Engineering team,” said Matt McGrath, President of Systems Engineering. “She is an exceptional talent with outstanding leadership experience at companies that share many of our cultural strengths.”

“As we continue to grow, having access to the best and most qualified talent is critically important, and I know that Lynne will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals,” noted McGrath.

Lynne Gawtry has more than 20 years of human resource experience including talent acquisition, organizational development, benefits administration, employee relations, training, and development. Her passion for human resources began early in her career while employed at Outward Bound and Sunday River Ski Resort. She has extensive HR experience at various organizations including UNUM, L.L. Bean, and The Orvis Company. Prior to joining Systems Engineering, Gawtry served as an HR consultant for KMA Human Resource Consulting advising small- and medium-sized organizations to develop and align their HR teams, functions, and strategies with overall organizational goals. Gawtry is a graduate of Bowdoin College with degrees in Sociology and Education. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband Michael, their two sons, and their Short-Haired Pointer, Nellie Jane. She enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, canoeing, boating, and skiing with family and friends.

“I am thrilled to join Systems Engineering – a company with a reputation for incredibly hard-working people, and an exceptional service-oriented culture,” said Gawtry. “I look forward to working closely with everyone at Systems Engineering to help advance growth goals through talent acquisition, and by engaging with existing employees so that they flourish and grow professionally at every stage of their career.”

Last October, Systems Engineering announced changes to its senior leadership team, and Matt McGrath was named the company’s new president, only the third in Systems Engineering’s 30-year history. At that time, McGrath noted that the company would continue to seek exceptional leaders who could help the company grow.

“Systems Engineering has experienced significant growth, doubling in size to 150 employees in the last five years, and expanding geographically to New Hampshire only a year ago,” said McGrath. “With that growth have come many opportunities. Deepening our leadership bench will continue to be a priority so that we can meet the needs of our clients and our employee owners while always maintaining our focus on providing superior engineering and excellent customer service.”
